A coordinated product development program for a premium US home care and lifestyle brand, combining ceramic trays and cups with stainless steel, glass, and textile components into a high-end giftable cleaning set.

Project Overview

This project involved the development of a premium home care set for a US lifestyle and household cleaning brand positioned in the affordable luxury segment. The buyer wanted to create a coordinated product set built around ceramic trays and cups, combined with other materials including textiles, glass, and stainless steel.

At the beginning of the project, the client had only a broad product idea rather than a fully defined ceramic program. Because the buyer was not deeply familiar with ceramic product development, the project required more than manufacturing support. It required development guidance, design coordination, material alignment, packaging planning, and cross-category execution.

FENN supported both product development and overall program coordination, helping move the concept from an early-stage idea into a structured annual business program.

The Challenge

This project was challenging because the buyer was not developing a standalone ceramic item. The goal was to create a complete premium home care set that combined multiple materials, multiple suppliers, and a cohesive brand presentation.

First, the ceramic products themselves needed development support. The buyer had an initial direction, but the ceramic forms, proportions, usage logic, and practical production details all needed refinement during the development process.

Second, this was not a single-material project. The final set included ceramic, stainless steel, glass, and textile components, which meant the program needed stronger coordination across product categories, sourcing timelines, packaging requirements, and final assortment structure.

Third, the project required patience and structured communication. Over a six-month period, the buyer and FENN went through multiple revisions, discussions, and meetings before the final program was confirmed. This was a development-led commercial process rather than a quick sourcing transaction.

Finally, the customer’s sales rhythm required organized shipment planning. The program needed not only product development and production support, but also coordinated delivery based on the customer’s launch and replenishment schedule.

What FENN Handled

Product development guidance

Because the buyer was not highly familiar with ceramic products, FENN helped guide the development process, turning a broad concept into a clearer product direction with more practical execution logic.

Ceramic and stainless steel product development

FENN supported the development of both ceramic and stainless steel items within the set, helping align product form, usability, and overall visual consistency across categories.

Cross-material program coordination

Beyond the products directly developed by FENN, we also helped coordinate the wider set structure involving glass and textile items so the final program could work as one coherent premium home care collection.

Packaging and set assembly support

FENN assisted in coordinating the overall packaging logic of the full set, helping ensure that products from different materials and sources could be assembled into a unified retail-ready program.

Shipment planning by sales rhythm

Based on the customer’s sales pace and commercial planning, shipments were organized in a more structured way so the program could move in line with market demand and rollout timing.

The Outcome

After approximately six months of development, discussion, revision, and coordination, the program was successfully confirmed as an annual order of 350,000 sets.

What began as a broad product idea developed into a structured mixed-material home care program with stronger product definition, better packaging coordination, and clearer commercial execution. FENN supported both direct product development and wider set coordination, helping the buyer move from concept uncertainty to a scalable annual business program.

Over time, this cooperation also strengthened FENN’s role within the buyer’s supply chain. Through development support, execution reliability, and ongoing coordination, FENN became the preferred partner for the buyer’s ceramic category.
